Pottery Barn Inspired Farmhouse Table

My favorite tv show is Fixer Upper.  I love Joanna Gaines’s modern, rustic style and how she uses farmhouse style tables in her spaces. I wanted to have one for our new home, but knew that I couldn’t pay for a new one.  I saw this one on Pottery Barn and fell in love.

I came across these plans on the Shanty2Chic blog.  The lumber supplies cost around $100, but I bought a Kreg jig, an electric drill and some other supplies, so my cost was higher than that.

It took me quite a while because I didn’t have a table saw to “rip” the 2×4’s down. It just goes to show that having the right tools makes all the difference. I wish I had taken more pictures of the process, but I made it before starting a blog!

It is just the right size for our kitchen and is very stable and solid.

Thanks for stopping by!

It is just so awesome that you made this, Tami! What an accomplishment, to make the things you use in your home every day. I remember seeing this on your FB. Great job!
